Well they said it all over at the BOM and then there was the following doppler wind chart.
Up here on the top of my block the wind is blowing, though as it is from the south I am a bit protected by some units higher up the hill. (I think). The radar is to the north of where I live.
Added: 2010-08-03: well I have to be amused. At work today, at lunch I noted that there was much glass on the road. I thought there had been a car accident. But Robert, our security guard, stated that a window had blown out in the apartment block a few buildings down from us at 4 AM in the morning. Looking at the building there was now a boarded up hole where the window had been.
