Driving from Marrickville to Narooma

Mum arrived a few days before and we drove in the morning down to Narooma for Phil and Enid’s 50th Anniversary. We had to just show up at the specified time. I was a bit worried about the Ford, but my worries were to prove unfounded. There was a big rain storm over Wollongong. The north end was just hitting Marrickville and the south end extended almost all the way to Narooma. We headed off with a few hours to spare. Our first stop, in the pouring rain was at Berry. We stopped for brunch. Which turned out to be more food than we expected.

After this we continued. I realised I had forgotten to bring a change of shirt. We stopped in Ulladalla at the lighthouse to allow mum some time out of the car. We then went to Harris Scarf and I purchased a shirt. They were having a 40% off sale, so this was a bonus.

We arrived at our Motel and had a quick shower and change before heading down to the surprise party.
